Do you think India is really progressing? If yes – what are the basis to say that? Don’t have an answer? May be you have. But before you go ahead and explain it from your point of view, just think about the people who are still dying of hunger, think of the people who are still struggling for jobs, think of those who find it difficult to manage two times meals. Ok, if you don’t like, I wouldn’t talk about the darker side of our country. But tell me what the brighter side is? May be a few good points are worth mentioning but our overall score stands close to zero.
If you think everything is fine with our country, I have certain questions to ask. Is there no corruption? Is there no poverty? Is there a complete literacy? Don’t you encounter potholed roads? Don’t you get frustrated while getting stuck in traffic jams? Do you think women are safe? Aren’t you sick of old judiciary system? Don’t you feel cheated? Don’t you think we can do much better?
If you feel all these things and really want to change the situation, then get up. You have to do everything by yourself. No one is going to do it for you. Get up..speak loud and get heard. Join hands with us….Young India Association.
Young India Association is an organization of all those countrymen who want to bring about a change in India, not with their words but with their deeds. We have hundreds of problems which are still lying unsolved and question our existence. Our aim is to end basic problems like Corruption, Poverty and Unemployment and achieve a 100% literacy figure throughout the country.

Where is my place?
Where is my place?
Who am I? What am I? What is my identification? Yes! These are some of the questions that are perhaps asked by a girl or a woman by herself or by the world? But its quite strange that for centuries these questions remained unanswered as ever.
Childhood is a stage when any individual collects memorable moments. But today girls are facing various kinds of social problems from their childhood. As the time passes on, they come closer to the furious face of this so-called society. At present the word “WOMAN” is only as a puppet for everybody. At the time of marriage parents of girls have to face a lot of social, physical as well as mental problems. If this is the situation of initial stage of life then it can be easily imagined that what’ll be the future. It’s not that girls are facing only social problems, but they are disturbed due to family affairs also. Our society is playing double standards with females. All types of orthodox systems are just imposed on girls or women in every walk of life.
Just think if our girls will be illiterate then, will it be possible that India will develop in a real sense. As per my thoughts, I don’t think that it can be possible ever. If we will have just one glimpse on the legal rights of females, then it will be clear that to which extent it has been applied. Everyday we come to know that numerous girls and women are raped, exploited and sexually harassed. In fact it is shameful for us that infants (girl children) are brutally raped.
In India the marriages are arranged between two families. An integral part of the agreement is the amount of dowry that the bride’s family pays to the groom’s family. Greed is pushing the demands ever higher, costing women their lives through dowry deaths, suicides, female feticide & infanticide.
So, are we developing? This question arises in my mind frequently. These are some of the issues that are influencing our females. I think that youngsters can do a better job to resolve these types of social issues. Because if today mishap is occurring with others sisters, daughters, mothers, wives then it’s possible that same can happen in your house also. Come and join me and help me to do that have never happened before! Wake up India and help females to give her a prestigious place. Wake up my friends!
Women are suffering across all over the world but, in India, condition of women is pathetic. It’s quite shameful for us. But only regretting is not the solution of these social issues. It’s time to reunite and ignite a ray of hope in our country. Women should not be considered only as a sufferer. Today there are many laws and articles for women welfare. But are they being implemented? I’ll say no. Reason behind is that these rules, rights are just like a showpiece of books of law and a simple way of lawyers to earn money.

They have accented from their trivial lives to craft their futures on the stage of life. Indian women have declared as well as proved a global force. Women of Young India have recovered themselves from all crises and redefined the definition of leadership. Mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, they have balanced their cultural expectations while shaped their careers into reality. Nowadays, Young India Woman has crossed all the borders, from the professions to politics and from arts to business; the feminine shining stars of modern times are taking charge of their lives. Not only this Indian women are giving tough competition to men in the public sphere, succeeding in their jobs, maintaining lives of their family, nurturing their children, decorating homes and also being a part of social services. There is no dictatorship of gender. At preset in India is a Young Indian woman, who soars over the throne, as most powerful politician.
These facts show the evolutionary personality of the Young Indian women in power. It’s not that the most dominant of them acquire power but yes they inherited it. Changing celebrity status of Young India
Around 50-60 years ago, our celebrities used to be eminent personalities like Mahatma Gandhi Jawaharlal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Subhash Chandra Bose etc; all those who wanted to do and die for India. But today our celebrities are Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai etc. This shows how our moral values are changing. Everyone wants to be a film star and no one wants to be a patriot. Why?
I don’t understand why we Young India gives so much of importance to those people who charge crores of rupees just for acting in a film and are equally good as a street drama artist. Why don’t we pay attention to what is happening to our country? Everyone just wants to enjoy. No one is concerned about news related to our national security and other important matters. We don’t like to see our soldiers instead we very happily turn on tv to see our favorite movies and actor or actress.
I ask you young India, what these actor and actresses have done for you that you are so crazy about them. You would hardly remember the name of a single martyr of kargil war but you know at least 100 names of movie stars. This shows the lack of conscience and knowledge and lack of sincerity.
Young India is not accepting the facts; is not buying reality. We chase fake dreams. If I were at your place I would have never given such a great importance to these movies stars. I would treat them as mere entertainers who charge money for what they do, that’s it. They are not Young India icons. They are not worth getting crores of rupees. They are worth getting the same amount as a laborer gets, just few thousand bucks for working 24 hours a day.

DU politics: Dirty youth politics
DU elections are much fanfare amongst the student’s politics in our country. DU’s elections are seen as testing ground for budding politicians. But where do these so called budding politicians come from? They are either sons of either MLA/MP or any powerful person in the area. There are no chances of a talented or a middle class student to stand for elections. Even if someone dares to stand in elections without the support of any powerful group, they are made to sit or withdraw from elections. You can crosscheck the political background of all DUSU presidents and VCs so far they all have connections with political parties or powerful people.
No DUSU president comes from a middle class background. Yes there are some women members who claim to be from a middle class family. Although, if you examine closely you will find that they are also supported by powerful people. As a student of Delhi University I have seen that even the college elections are won by so called powerful candidates who do not allow weak candidates to stand against them.
If someone complains to the authorities even then no one listens. How can a person go ahead and make his way through these snakes always hissing at you and ready to sting? DU is not a testing ground for budding politicians it is in fact a testing ground for hooligans.

People are still Hungry
I don’t know whether you would have seen such a pathetic condition of any individual or not. But when I saw that person, I was totally shocked and filled with compassion and guilt. He was middle-aged half-dead like man who was trying to find food from garbage. I was on the New Delhi Railway station and waiting for the train when I saw this man.
On one hand we talk about the progress of India and on the other hand there are people who are not able to get two times meals properly. There are people who are finding food from garbage and living on leftovers. Think how bad the situation really is. Can we do something? Can we change something to bring change in such people’s lives?
Pledge today for making India a poverty free country. No more false promises. No more dirty politics. We will take charge of everything now. Join hands with Young India Association that has pledged to root out poverty as soon as possible and make India a developed country as soon as possible. We will not wait now. We will change th times for better.

If we are not solutions then we are the part of problem
Someone has rightly said – if we are not the solution then you are the problem. This statement is completely true. Take an example of elections in our country. People don’t want to go out fore voting. As a result they are not able to exercise their right and wrong candidates are sent to the parliament. And then we criticize and abuse them for not doing anything. But what have we done? Have we been responsible enough to go out and vote? Some people don’t want to go for voting in elections because they hate politics.
But have you ever thought about the effect of not participating in politics and elections? You are simply encouraging bad people to take command of our country rule on us. You try to escape the problem that is till there. You have to be a part of the solution if you don’t want to be a part of the problem. Staying neutral won’t help. Just go out and take your responsibility of voting in elections.
This is our country. I appeal all India people to join hands and stand against the problem to find a solution and to be a part of the solution and not the problem. If you agree to it and really want be a part of the solution then join the youth association – Young India association.
Our association is a young India organization of all those who are fed up of Indian politics and want to bring change to build a new India. So take your responsibility and go out for elections. Make your vote count.

India People: Obsessed with fake luxury
A few months back I was going through an article published in the HT City, which said that some scotch brand called Macallan is going to launch its so called fine and rare collection of scotch bottle which were distilled in 1947, and a single bottle would cost Rs. 20 Lakhs in Delhi and around 24-25 lakhs in Mumbai. And no surprise, there were a ot of takers as well. I was astonished by the fact that in a country like India where there are still a a lot of people who live below poverty line and don’t have basic necessities of life, there are some great people who want to buy a bottle of liquor for 20- 25 lakhs just because it was distilled in 1947.
Don’t you think this is the most unfavorable use of Indian Currency? Don’t you think it’s an irony and shame for India people? On one hand there are people who are dying of hunger and on the other hand there are people who are buying nugatory items for lakhs of rupees. Blame it on capitalism or lack of ethics. This is bound to happen when only a few India people have the power to control our country. If these capitalists are asked to increase the wages of laborers, they have endless sagas of suffering losses. But when it comes to show off, they don’t even hesitate to send our precious money to foreign hands for buying nugatory items. I appeal to all these kind of India people to save money and donate this exa money for social causes so that India could progress and India people should not die of hunger. Do not send our money to drains.

Corruption Meter on Rise in India
We should feel shame on the fact that corruption is widespread in India. Our country is ranked 21 out of a 179 countries in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index. Corruption has become an inseparable part of Indian politics and bureaucracy.
India was under socialist-inspired policies for the period starting from the 1950s until the 1980s. The various policies and regulations, protectionism, and public ownership, caused corruption and slow growth in our country. License Raj was often at the core of corruption.
As per Vohra committee report, problem of criminalization of politics resulted from the nexus among criminals, politicians and bureaucrats in India. The report also contained several observations made by official agencies on the criminal network which was virtually running a parallel government. The report also revealed the roles of criminal gangs who enjoy patronage of politicians and the protection of government functionaries. Political leaders have become the leaders of gangs. Over the years criminals have been elected to local bodies, State Assemblies and Parliament.
One of the major problems and obstacles to development that our country faces is corruption by greedy, power-hungry politicians, which is endemic in certain parts of the world.
Why is it that this corruption among the political elite is found in our country more so than in 'the West'? In a country with an extreme level of poverty, basic human morality and compassion is forgotten and people use unlawful means to get their situation uplifted. In the West, on the other hand, societies are based on the notions of accumulation of wealth and survival of the fittest.
As per Transparency International India, "India Corruption Study 2005", Kerala is the least corrupt State in India. Bihar is the most corrupt State. Jammu & Kashmir ranks next to Bihar. Himachal Pradesh followed by Gujarat ranked second and third respectively after Kerala. This study was carried across eleven public services. Kerala was found least corrupt in all these services. Himachal Pradesh was found less corrupt. In Gujarat services such as education, judiciary and land administration was ranked as more corrupt compared to other states. However in other services, Gujarat ranked better.
Some people in India strongly believe that the root of corruption lies at the higher levels, and that the major conspirators have to be punished first. And now time has come to stamp out the corruption from its roots, otherwise we will soon be in a great danger. India would be split again leaving no other options. Wake up and join Young India association. It’s time to change and take charge into your hands.

Don’t just wait and watch, Use RTI
The RTI act has given the power to you using which you can CHANGE the country. The RTI act has been very effective in making the inner working of the Govt. transparent. If you learn to use this act, you can CHANGE the country.
If you think that the RTI Act does not affect you then you are absolutely WRONG. If you are a citizen of Indian, the RTI Act has given you a lot of power that you can use.
For instance, next time you ask for a Telephone connection or a Water Connection and you don’t get it on time, don’t wait just use RTI. You don’t have to make several trips to the Govt. offices and bribe and beg the officials to get your work done. RTI has changed all that.
If roads outside your house are terrible then use RTI to solve problem. If you are young and cannot appreciate all the above points, then believe us that sooner or later you will have to go and get some of your work done though Govt. offices. And when you do, you will appreciate the power RTI. But, by then it will be too late.
If you are an Indian, YOU MUST read know about RTI. Not only that, do tell as many people as you can to also Use RTI. Do this for your country.
If you also want to bring reforms to Indian Government and want to use RTI then please visit http://righttoinformation.gov.in/ to know the detailed procedure.

Can India become a Superpower?
Can India become a Superpower?
Is India really on the path of becoming a superpower? Optimistic Indians would nod their heads in affirmation. But it is time for a reality check. India is surely marching ahead, but it is just a small fraction of the population that is growing. India can surely boast of a growth rate of 8-9 per cent but it is not bringing any change in the condition of those living in conditions of poverty.
There are diverse ethnic, cultural, financial, lingual groups in India. And we are caught in the clutches of communal violence. Religion is used to create a divide amongst people. Godhara riots, Sikh riots in Delhi, violence in MP in Gujarat have become commonplace. Such violence creates hatred in the hearts of the targeted communities and hinders the progress of our country. People rampage on the roads, burn buses, block national highways and other such meaningless things. Can India really become a superpower with all these activities taking place? India surely is a country of diversity but it is diversity without unity. There is so much unoccupied and impressionable youth in the country that in the absence of anything better to do, they participate in destroying activities.
India has a huge illiterate population and our education system does nothing to correct the problem. Real quality education is not provided. Till the time we do not root out illiteracy, becoming a superpower would only be a dream.
Poverty is another problem that can’t be left. It is another major roadblock in India becoming a superpower. It is estimated that about two-thirds of India’s population resides in rural areas.
Unemployment makes the situation worse. We should realize that these unemployed can make for good skilled labour and work force if they are imparted the necessary training and education.
Indian politicians are concerned about filling their pockets only. They play vote bank politics while sacrificing the nation’s interest. The implementation of quotas in education, public and private sector show that this country would rather play caste-based politics than reward the meritorious.
How can India become a super power till we are suffering with illiteracy, unemployment, and other such problems? Only you…the youth can change it. Grab the power and be ready to do something. Join The Young India Association.

DIRTY INDIAN POLICTICS...WE NEED CHANGE!!!!!
Modern Indian politics has become a business of power and lies. Divided on the basis of cast creed and religion; citizens are getting intolerant, and the politicians of the country are mute spectator. In Mumbai there are Shiv sainiks, in Karnataka there are pro-kannadiga groups, and Assam has ULFA. Indian politics has become a dirt ground and politicians are exploiting it to their personal benefits.
There has been a continuous rise in dirty political trends in India. Whenever a wrong party comes to power, the citizens are blamed of not voting responsibly. But who else should we choose when there are no options. Especially for young voters who vote with a lot of enthusiasm that voting is their right. There was a point of time in India when political leaders would revolutionize the country, and give their lives for the freedom. Their words would inspire to unite. Today, citizens hate each other in the name of religion, saying that people from one state cannot stay in others, and most institutions of the government are filed with corruption. Now who would remind the nation of these words and how can it be done?
There is a need to throw out all the dirty politicians out and take the power in your hands. We have tolerated much. Now it’s really time for action. Join Young India Association right now and be the harbinger of a massive change in Indian Politics.

How media has diverted from its route?
In India, media is supposed to be an independent identity. Media persons only disclose the truth and we should trust on them for their honesty, most of us think so, but it’s time for reality check. Media has become a game for people with power and money. You can not imagine how far it has damaged the system of our country. Media’s independency makes it a thing to be put on sale. Thousands of shocking stories are recorded and then destroyed just because media persons sell their stories. You can never imagine how much exploitation is there in Media industry.
Girls who try to get jobs in media, are exploited to very much extent. There are some female friends of mine who were searching for jobs in media, but to a big shame, they were offered to compromise physically. This is just an example, these incidents take place on a daily basis.
Even the top names are not truthful and honest. They know how to use people's sentiments to drive TRPs of a particular programme. This is a big money market. Big media companies know this very well that they can make or break anyone's image. And they also know how to drive benefit pout of it. Deals are fixed to make images or break images.
News that are really essential, never come to the limelight, but unnecessary news are flashed like a hot item. It's not that only media industry is at fault, but we all are responsible for this. They sell news and we buy news. We are not interested in knowing story of a street vendor who is suffering with penury, instead we want to see what Shahrukh khan is doing, how he dresses up, how he walks, talks, bla bla...
Till the time we don't realize what's going on we can't move on the right path. We should be informed of all these things. We should not allow media to use us like this. We should pledge to bring the important news to the limelight. We should not allow media to make a puppet of all of us. Please let us change al this and make India a truly developed and corruption free country.

BENEFITS OF FREE INDIA
There were times when we had legends like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar, Rajguru etc. Now time has passed, we are free now we don't need them anymore. We are living in free India, where we are free to do a number of things like:-
a) Urinating wherever I want, on the walls, roadsides, behind a parked car, etc. etc.
b) Driving as fast as I like because I own all Indian roads.
c) Abusing other people for own mistake, because I am more powerful than the other person is.
d) Teasing girls and women, because I more powerful than them, and they won’t say anything.
e) Offering jobs to girls on a condition of being physical with me, because she is in need and can do anything for it and yes, she is not my sister.
e) Beating people who don’t obey me, because my father is a politician.
f) Drinking and partying all night, because soldiers are getting paid to guard all of us and hence, I can enjoy all night.
g) Buy the most expensive unnecessary items, because I have money that I can do whatever I want.
h) Exploiting employees, because I pay heavy bribe to labor commission officials.

INDIA IS A SLAVE EVEN TODAY!!
Do you think India is a free country? Think again, because if you study and analyze deeply, with deep regret I say, you would find we are not free yet. Sixty years ago we were made slaves using muscle power and divide and rule policy, and now we are made slaves using new dollars.
How, do you wonder? Think about the youngsters who work in BPO/KPO industry. They are lured by higher salaries and open work environment. But they have to sacrifice their sleep in return. People in the west make us work throughout the day and night just by throwing some dollars and we are so greedy that we readily agree to work in the night shifts just to get some money.
Think about software and IT industry. We think that we are doing great in software and IT too because we are getting enough money that we can enjoy our lives. But what kind of orders are we getting? The stark reality is that we work like machines and do repetitive stuffs. We are not doing anything new that we should be proud of. We are not innovating anything. We are just working as clerks who are given some routine work to complete and then given some money in return.
This way, we cannot progress. India has become a place of high end educated clerks who are mad after money. And there is a breed of dealers and middlemen who get contracts from some foreign countries and get it done in India on cheap rates.
Whoever wants to get his work done for cheap comes to India. And we are very happy that we are getting work, and progressing. Our youth is so oblivious that it cares only for money, power and sex. There is nothing else they can work for and think of. That day is not far when India would be separated into multiple pieces and would be overpowered by other countries. We will just work as laborers throughout our lives chasing fake materialistic luxuries.

DO WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CELEBRATE WOMEN’S DAY ?
Today is Women’s Day. But are we really giving importance to girls, mothers, and sisters in our lives? I don’t think it’s so. Our society is still applying double standards with such girls or women who happened to be the victim of problems related to dowry, domestic violence etc. These girls are betrayed by their in-laws without any genuine reason. When any mishap occurs with such girls, they are blamed by double standard society. I want to ask each and every Indian, what is ‘Society’. Is it a treasure of orthodox systems such as dowry system, caste system, female infanticide, child marriage? Why should girls suffer because of all this and why not men understand their responsibility? In such type of society, do you think we should be given the right to celebrate Women’s Day?
First, let us understand feminism, understand real culture, real humanity; and then answer me what is the fault of such girls who r betrayed to live pathetic life due to some devils. Shouldn’t they think for their freedom and joyful life? Is this the real picture of Indian Women?
Waiting for response!

Learn inspiration from Adhyatmic literature
Dear brother and sisters of America!! hope you all are familiar to these golden words, spoken by an intellectual Swami Vivekananda. He was the one, who attended the World's Parliament of Religions at Chicago, Sept 27, 1893 and at that time he was so clear about his vision and motto of social harmony.
Some description of the speech of the man of honor:
My thanks to those noble souls whose large hearts and love of truth first dreamed this wonderful dream and then realized it. My thanks to the shower of liberal sentiments that has overflowed this platform. My thanks to this enlightened audience for their uniform kindness to me and for their appreciation of every thought that tends to smooth the friction of religions. A few jarring notes were heard from time to time in this harmony. My special thanks to them, for they have, by their striking contrast, made general harmony the sweeter.
He addressed the audience of America by saying them Sisters and brothers, and every one their gave a big round of claps to the unknown yet familiar stranger.
Why do we the people of India lacking social harmony and love among us, which he tried to spread not in our country but to all other countries. We need to find those ways which intellectual's like him showed to us. Then only we'll be able to called ourself a country full of mutual love and harmony

international women's day
Hi everyone…
women’s day has gone ……I know there were many discussions, debates on women empowerment, their incredible role in freedom struggle. many had speak about their extraordinary efforts for nation building and some on their compassion,,,,,,,,,,,,,and dats all true too…………women has proved dat they are equal to men…………..
but today I want to talk about that particular class of women who are indulged in prostitution…I want to draw your attention towards the most nefarious and malicious social vice i.e. trafficking of women for commercial sexual exploitation…………
Trafficking is a big menace for our society as well as for nation, many young girls and women’s around the world are lured ,abducted or sold into forced prostitution and involuntarily marriage, they are bartered depending on their age ,beauty and virginity and exploited under conditions that amount to slavery.
The volume of trafficking in women and children in India has risen significantly over the years. Traffickers manipulate Nepal’s poor condition to their advantage. The victims are offered jobs or lured by promises of marriage .Mumbai has the largest number of girls in prostitution according to one estimate.
There are about 20,000 Nepali women in the city’s flesh trade, they were brought by local recruiters and then sold off to brokers who delivered them to brothel owners.
Delhi, the capital of our country has a special role as a hub in trafficking for prostitution.
This is how our women are trafficked and then sold out to brothel keepers. but this is only the one phase ,now lets move on to the other phase of these young girls and women’s , and this phase is about our behavior towards them, social impact of prostitution on them.
Do u know all trafficked women or women involved in prostitution are generally unhappy a disgruntled over the society’s discriminatory attitude. these women’s are looked down by school authorities who are reluctant to allow their children to study in the school because of their mothers .even if the children are given admission , the women are always afraid of their identity playing against their children………
Law enforcing agencies i.e. the lower rung of the police force never really respects them as human beings. They generally use a abusive language with complete disregard for their human rights and insult them frequently…….but tell me, why we disregard them just because they are in dis flesh trade ,right? But have u ever thought who use these women’s? Who forced them to indulge in dis flesh trade? …………..it’s we………….yes its from us, some selfish, barbaric, persons from our society do all dis,,,,,,,,,,,,,but we never complained them,,,,,,,,,,why not to punish them too? We should start denigrating and mocking at our politicians, bureaucrats , businessman’s, spiritual leaders,,,,,,,,,,,,,afterall they are the people who mostly involved in dis trade,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but no,,,,,,,,,,how can we point out these rascals? Afterall they are VIP’S ,they have a huge back wid them,,,,,,,,,,,,Baba Nityanand, Asaram Bapu, Dera Sacha Sauda’s chief are some of the examples ……………………..
U know what our government authorities also collect substantial revenues in area where prostitution exist illegally from bribes and corruption,
Some months back u might have heard that there was full debate on this topic that should the sex trade legalized/ will it help women?
ILO was supporting the demand for recognizing prostitution as a labour sector by calling it a sex sector/
But the anti legalization lobby feels that exploitation can not be legalized because the basic question is ,can prostration of girls and women, their trafficking, their renting to someone, brothel keeping advertisement of brothels, pimping be legalized?
Trafficking of human beings mainly for sex trade is the third largest organized global crime next only to illegal trade in narcotics and crime even if it is stated that a small section of women wish to do voluntary prostitution and therefore it must be legalized no sane society can entertain such a proposal that exposes its vast young population to the most dangerous crime,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I just want to say that there is a great need of doing something for this social vice…….the voluntary organizations need to involve in a greater measure and they can ensure certain standards of care and reformative treatment that will eventually lead to the rehabilitation of women in prostitution .the role of voluntary agencies can be towards the planning and implementation of integrated programme of awareness education and socio economic upliftment for both preventive and rehabilitative purposes. In attempting to address the phenomenon a reorientation of approach is suggested so as to discourage the exploitative situations in which the women are trapped……………
No women wants to loose her respect………there are situations which force some to indulge in wrong deeds…………………..every person wants to be respected…………..lets join together and save those who are unwillingly, forcibly traped in dis trade…………….they want sympathy, guidance and a hope that they can live a respectful life too……

why bycott foreign brands!!!
History:
Earlier Swadeshi and Boycott movements were started in India when the East India Company was leaching our wealth by destroying the domestic industries and selling their own products here. Swadeshi focused on the consumption of self produced goods and Boycott focused on abstaining from using or buying foreign goods with an aim to uproot the British empire and make India self-sufficient by the revival of indigenous industries.
Todays need:
Today though the East India Company no longer exists in India, there are several foreign companies which are carrying on trade in India. After the liberalization and globalization policies of India, various foreign companies(eg. Pepsi, Coca Cola, IBM) came to India to make money and in the process destroyed the domestic industries and suppliers to monopolize the market. Now these companies are making crores of rupees and sending the money back to their parent concerns or their home countries in forms of royalties or profits.
Some of the biggest Multi National Companies(MNCs) in India are Hindustan Uniliver Ltd.(HUL, A subsidiary of UK’s Unilever), Pepsi, Coca-cola, IBM, Indian Tobacco Company(ITC, a subsidiary of American Tobacco Company). These companies buy raw materials from India, make Indians make the product/services and sell the final product to Indians, making a huge amount of profit in between and taking that out of India. Thus due to the absence of domestic players money goes out of India. Also these companies are invited by corrupt government officials/bureaucrats on the basis that they bring capital, employment, technology to India and increase Indian exports which is a white lie. You can read the myth about foreign companies by Rajiv Dixit.
Thus the time has arrived to restart the Swadeshi and Boycott movements to protect India from these companies which are trying to weaken India’s economy. You can read the list of Swadeshi and Foreign products/brands and start purchasing swadeshi products instead of foreign goods to protest against these foreign companies and to make India economically stronger

Last week Rajiv Dixit was telling about how foreign companies have been exploiting India since independance with assistance from the government. The result being huge amount of wealth being drained out of the country and weakening of the economy.
Foreign companies are invited by the government from time to time. The government puts forward 4 arguments for such policies :
1. They bring capital.2. They create employment.3. They increase the export of the country.4. They bring technology with them.
Rajiv Dixit in his survey analysed various statistics on Indian economy provided by the government itself and found surprising facts. Government statistics clearly show that as a result of the business being done by the foreign companies funds are clearly flowing out of the country instead of coming in. Most foreign companies as per their official account statements have invested small amounts of capital since their setup in India and now are reaping huge amount of profits from the Indian market. Topping the list is Hindustan Lever a British company. So if clearly funds are flowing out of the country how does capital come in.
Next , the government says that employment increases when foreign companies enter India to do business over here. Clearly enough this fact is known to all that invitation to foreign companies has resulted in rapid destruction of the indigenous industries which though were small scale but had more potential in terms of widespread employment and promote financial equality.
Another argument provided by the government on such policies is that foreign companies increase export of India. On the contrary it has been found that all foreign countries are increasing the imports of the country. Most foreign companies aim at importing goods from their native countries and selling them in India and hence increasining the imports of the country. Many companies simply use the raw material of this country to produce packed goods and sell them at huge profits and hence draining wealth from the country.
It is believed that foreign companies bring technology with them. Surveys show that most foreign companies bring no manufacturing technologies to India and neither do they setup any sort of research and development center in India. Most companies import high-tech components from their native countries and simply assemble them here in India and sell. The only organisation in India that is high-tech is ISRO and DRDO which have developed truly high technology stuff and that too purely indigenous. When technology can be developed indigenously what is the point calling these foreign companies and letting them exploit the Indian market.
It is a known fact that 1 company – the east india company had looted so much wealth from India and it took more than 200 years of struggle to drive them out. Now there are nearly 5000 companies operating in India , selling all sort of crap and draining wealth. Moreover they are rapidly exploiting the natural resources of the country too. Something must be done soon to eradicate them from the country and promote the indigenous industries of the country if the economy is to reach a proper place.

Common wealth affecting common man's health!!!
We all know that common wealth games are approaching and Delhi government is trying hard to complete the preparations on time. Dug up roads, dusty lanes, barricades, road blockers only tell that there is something very important going on. Yes, everyone guesses it right. Common wealth preparations are on full swing and you can see beautification of roads and streets, construction of new flyovers, footover bridges and bus stands.
Delhi Govt doesn’t want the foreign delegates to see our dusty and narrow roads where people are in a mad rush to leave everyone behind. That’s why they are leavingno stone unturned to maeke sure that foreigners don’t have to face any problem while they are in for common wealth visit.
But this common wealth is going to cost too much for common man in India. Wherever we go, we just see barricades. There is hardly any way out and people have to spend hours in traffic jams.

One third of world’s poor live in our country. Where are we?
ndia has one-third of all poor people population of the world. A large number of people in our country live on even less than $2 per day less than even sub-Saharan Africa. This news has come out of the World Bank's latest estimates on global poverty. We are still happy in saying that our country is progressing. This clearly shows that economic reforms, which started in 1991, have failed to reduce poverty at a faster rate, as claimed.
As per the estimates, India has 456 million people or about 42% of the population that lives below the new international poverty line that stands at $1.25 per day. The number of poor people in India constitutes 33% of the global poor, which is 1.4 billion people. India also has 828 million people, or 75.6% of the population that lives below $2 a day. Even in Sub-Saharan Africa, world's poorest region, the condition is better and it has 72.2% of its population (551m) people below the $2 a day level.
